Depth
“The only way out is in.”
In this module, we deepen our studies of Classical Chinese Medicine, exploring its living wisdom through embodied practice. Alongside foundational theory, we engage with Qigong, Embodied Yin® Yoga, and Somatic Yoga Nidra as personal and professional practices. Participants will learn to skilfully guide Somatic Yoga Nidras, and, where appropriate, refine and deepen their capacity to guide Embodied Yin® practices, building upon the foundations established in the Embodied Yin® Teacher Training.
DEPTH is a conscious invitation to explore our multidimensional capacity for healing by listening, sensing, and responding with the whole body–mind. Rooted in Classical Chinese Medicine, this approach honors the body as an intelligent ecosystem—where qi, blood, fluids, and spirit move in continual relationship with nature and consciousness.
These somatic practices support the free flow of qi through the meridian system, regulate the nervous system, and restore fluidity, resilience, and vitality. In alignment with Classical Chinese Medicine, healing is understood not as fixing, but as remembering balance, coherence, and connection.
The philosophical atmosphere of the module is informed by Three Treasures explorations—Jing, Qi, and Shen—which offer a foundational map for embodied healing. By understanding and cultivating essence (Jing), vital energy (Qi), and spirit-consciousness (Shen), practitioners learn to support sustainable vitality, emotional balance, and spiritual clarity. This integrated lens allows practice and teaching to address the root, not just the symptoms, uniting body, energy, and awareness into a coherent whole.

They're what happens when the meridian theory you've absorbed through Embodied Yin, the Three Treasures, and the Five Spirits becomes something you can do with your hands. Tools you'll use on yourself during the week, and carry into how you teach.
Across the five days you'll move through:
Āsana (Embodied Yin) · Somatics and free movement · Props and assists · Embodied and experiential anatomy · Three Treasures theory and practice · Five Spirits (Shen, Hun, Po, Zhi, Yi) · Somatic Nidra methodology · Breath · Sound · Meditation · Chinese Medicine and Taoism · Gua Sha · Moxabustion
